Anseis & Berenger

This is a sketch of two of my favorite Peers: Anseis (with the bow) and Berenger (with the scowl).  They appear in Kid Beowulf and the Song Of Roland and are a fun pair of characters to write and draw, specifically because they are opposites; Anseis is the archer, the scout, the one who likes to sneak around whereas  Berenger is the bruiser and the brute who likes to get right into the fray.  Their personalities also compliment their fighting styles and I’ve got a story I’m working on that features both of them – each trying to save the other in their own inimitable fashion.
