I’m excited to announce that Kid Beowulf has found a new home with Kansas City based publisher, Andrews McMeel under their graphic novel imprint, AMP!   AMP! features an impressive line-up of books including: Peanuts, Big Nate, Pearls Before Swine, G-Man, Stinky Cecil, Phoebe and Her Unicorn, and now Kid Beowulf!

New cover for “Kid Beowulf: The Blood-Bound Oath”

Kid Beowulf: The Blood-Bound Oath, is slated for August 2016, and will relaunch book one in the series in a full-color, remastered edition.  This new edition will feature color by myself and colorist, Jose Mari Flores, as well as AMP!’s patented “More To Explore” section featuring maps, character glossaries, activities, and other bonus material that readers, teachers, and librarians love.

I’ve also gone through the original pages and cleaned up the artwork, remastering the files for their high-definition upgrade: the story and art remains the same, but original fans will appreciate the vivid color and see how it improves the storytelling, while new fans will happily jump into a brand new fantasy world.

I am totally amped about AMP! and can’t wait to bring Kid Beowulf to a whole new audience of readers and introduce them to an action-packed story inspired by legends of old, featuring two brothers, a pig, and a talking sword.

The book is available to pre-order at Andrews McMeel and Amazon.  For regular updates on this exciting new venture be sure to follow me and KidB on twitter, facebook, and tumblr.  And remember to read Kid Beowulf four days a week at AMP!’s sister site GoComics!
